The New Normal

Querida Family and Friends of Casa de Chocolates:

It has been a trying five months for our community.  At Casa de Chocolates, we take seriously our commitment to do our part to keep our staff and customers safe so that we may continue to bring you the highest quality chocolates and desserts. 

We want to take this time to thank you for your patience with changes we have implemented to adapt to our new COVID-19 reality, including:

  • Focusing on web orders and curbside service and pick-up
  • Partnering with 3rd party delivery services 
  • Ensuring that staff maintain social distancing as much as possible. As a result, we are at half our capacity due to limited space. 
  • Adding a 10% salary hike for all our employees working during this period.
  • Disinfecting touchscreens and the premises – and any items that enter the areas where we produce and package our products. 
  • Ensuring that our staff wear masks and gloves at all times. 
  • Making every effort to make transactions as contactless as possible to mitigate risk of contamination, including migrating to cashless transactions. 

No doubt this pandemic will continue to present challenges for us and our suppliers. We ask for your patience as many of our suppliers, like us, are small businesses and have increased their pricing.  

In the next few weeks, we will have to make critical decisions. Whether we decide to remain open, increase pricing on our products or make other changes to meet our new reality, we will not make these decisions lightly. We will always keep you -- our community – at the center of our journey.
